Croatia Sailing Tour Prices, Deposits & Booking
Is travel insurance required for a Roam Sailing tour?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all Roam Sailing guests. We recommend arranging your cover before travelling.
When should you book your Croatia sail week?
As soon as you know your dates, book early. The most popular weeks and cabin types can go fast, especially in summer. Booking ahead gives you more choice and more time to get trip-ready.
When is my place on a Roam Sailing tour confirmed?
Your spot is confirmed once we receive your booking deposit. You'll get an email confirmation once we have recieved the deposit.
Can I pay for my Croatia sailing tour in instalments?
Yes. Roam Sailing offers an instalment payment option, allowing you to secure your place with the required deposit and pay the remaining balance over 2 split payments before departure.
How much does a Roam Sailing Croatia tour cost?
2027 tours start from €1,199 per person twin share for a below-deck cabin and €1,279 for an above-deck cabin with our early-bird discount, which is applied automatically at checkout. Standard pricing is €1,499 and €1,599 respectively. Prices are in euros and cover 8 days and 7 nights including accommodation, all breakfasts and lunches, a BBQ dinner, guided walking tours and your Roam Sailing guide. A 2% booking administration fee applies to each payment, and you can pay in your own currency at checkout.
How much is the deposit, and when is the balance due?
A non-refundable €250 per person deposit secures your place. The balance is split into two equal payments due 120 days and 90 days before departure. If you book within 90 days of departure, full payment is due at booking.
What is Roam Sailing's cancellation policy?
The €250 deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. If you cancel with 100 or more days' notice, only the deposit is forfeited; 99–89 days, 25% of the tour price; 88–60 days, 50%; 59–40 days, 75%; 39 days or fewer, 100%. With more than 59 days to go you can ask to move your booking to another Roam Sailing departure for a €30 change fee. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
Can I book as a solo traveller, and is there a single supplement?
Yes, and many of our guests book solo. Solo travellers share a twin cabin with another guest of the same gender at no extra cost. A private cabin may be available for a single supplement depending on availability; email info@roamsailing.com to ask.
When are the 2027 Roam Sailing departure dates?
2027 departures are 16–23 May, 23–30 May, 25 July–1 August, 1–8 August, 29 August–5 September and 5–12 September. All tours are 8 days and 7 nights, starting and finishing in Trogir. Both May departures and the 29 August departure are sold out; contact us to join the waitlist.

How much free time do guests have during a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
You’ll have plenty of free time throughout your tour. Activities are optional, so you can swim, explore, relax onboard or do your own thing.
What can you do during a Roam Sailing week?
Your week is designed to mix sailing, swimming, island time, and social evenings. You can expect beach stops, time to explore charming coastal spots, and plenty of chances to relax or head out with the group.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer for a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
No, you don’t need to be a strong swimmer. Swim stops are generally in calm water close to shore, and the crew will provide a line to hold onto for anyone not confident in the water.
Can I join a Roam Sailing Croatia tour with a group of friends?
Absolutely. Groups of friends are welcome, and our team can help arrange cabins and coordinate your booking.
Is there laundry on the boat during a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
There is no onboard laundry service. You can rinse smaller items and use the drying lines onboard, while our guides can point you towards laundromats at stops along the route.
I'm not a big drinker. Is a Roam Sailing Croatia tour still for me?
Absolutely. Roam Sailing is a social sailing experience, not a party boat. You can enjoy the sailing, activities, food and nightlife without any pressure to drink or party.
Is there an age limit for Roam Sailing Croatia tours?
No, Roam Sailing does not have a strict age limit. Our tours are designed with young professionals in mind, but we welcome guests of different ages who enjoy the same style of travel.
How many guests are on a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
Each Roam Sailing Croatia tour has a maximum of 28 guests. The exact number can vary by departure, but 28 is our maximum group size.
Where do I meet my Roam Sailing guide and the other guests?
A few weeks before your tour, your guide will send your pre-departure information, including where to meet and how to board. You’ll also be added to a WhatsApp group for your specific departure to connect with other guests.
Do I need cash on a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
In Croatia, cash is king! We recommend bringing cash for any payments that may be needed during your tour. All optional activities, group dinners, port taxes, and bar tabs will be paid in cash. Don’t worry—there are plenty of ATMs along the way where you can easily withdraw money as needed! Everything in Croatia is paid in Euros.

Yes. All Roam Sailing guides are first-aid certified.

Most guests are between their mid-20s and mid-40s. There is no strict age limit; the tour is built for young professionals who want a social week without it being a party boat.

What meals are provided on a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
Guests enjoy a daily buffet breakfast, three-course lunch prepared onboard by a chef, and one BBQ dinner. Other dinners are enjoyed at local restaurants.
Can Roam Sailing accommodate dietary requirements and food allergies?
Yes, we can accommodate dietary requirements when notified in advance. Please provide your requirements when booking so our team and chef can prepare accordingly.
Is there a bar onboard the Roam Sailing boat?
Yes. Our boats have a fully stocked onboard bar with a private bartender, so you can enjoy drinks throughout your tour.
Are food and drinks expensive in Croatia?
Prices vary depending on the destination, restaurant and what you choose. Your Roam Sailing guides can recommend local options to suit different budgets and preferences.
Can I bring my own alcohol onboard?
No. Outside alcohol cannot be brought onboard. Our fully stocked onboard bar and private bartender provide drinks throughout the tour.

Do I need sailing experience to join a Roam Sailing tour?
No. You don’t need any previous experience, as our professional crew handle the sailing and navigation. Your job is to sit back and relax.
Do Roam Sailing cabins have private bathrooms?
Yes. Every Roam Sailing cabin has a private ensuite bathroom, so you won’t need to share bathrooms.
Do I get fresh towels during my Roam Sailing tour?
Yes. Each guest receives two towels for the week, with a mid-week towel change.
What is the difference between above and below deck cabins?
Upper deck cabins have standard-sized windows and more natural light, while lower deck cabins have portholes and less natural light. Lower deck cabins can also offer a darker, quieter environment for sleeping.
What is the difference between a double and twin cabin on Roam Sailing?
Double cabins have one double bed, while twin cabins have two separate single beds. Both options provide the same private ensuite and onboard cabin facilities.
Do Roam Sailing cabins have air conditioning?
Yes. Every cabin has individual air conditioning available throughout the week.
Is Wi-Fi available on the Roam Sailing boat?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available onboard.
What power sockets are available in Roam Sailing cabins?
The boats use European-style two-pin power sockets. Bring an international travel adaptor if your devices use a different plug type.
Flying into Split: Getting to the Boat, Check-in & Check-out
Can I leave the boat early if I have an early flight?
If you need to leave before the scheduled 8:30 AM check-out, let the Roam Sailing team know your plans in advance so we can discuss the arrangements. But we will be in the port the day before departure so there should be no issue with early morning flights.
When should I arrive in Croatia for my Roam Sailing tour?
We recommend arriving the day before your tour begins. Staying in Trogir or Split gives you time to settle in and allows some extra time in case of travel delays.
What airport should I fly into for a Roam Sailing Croatia tour?
Split Airport (SPU) is the most convenient airport for your Roam Sailing tour. Trogir, where the tour starts and finishes, is located close to the airport.
What time is check-in and check-out for Roam Sailing?
Check-in is at 11:00 AM and check-out is at 8:30 AM on the day of departure. You’ll receive your exact meeting point and boarding instructions before your tour.
How do I get from Split Airport to the Roam Sailing port in Trogir?
You can travel from Split Airport to Trogir by taxi, Uber or public transport. Your pre-departure information will provide the exact meeting point and boarding details.

What are the visa requirements for visiting Croatia?
Visa and entry requirements depend on your nationality, passport and travel circumstances. Always check the current requirements that apply to your specific passport before travelling.
What currency is used in Croatia?
Croatia uses the euro (€).
Is Croatia safe to visit and sail around?
Croatia is a popular destination for international travellers and sailing holidays. As with any trip, take normal travel precautions, look after your belongings and follow the advice of your Roam Sailing crew and guides.
Is tipping expected in Croatia?
Tipping is not mandatory in Croatia, but it is appreciated for good service. As a guideline for Roam Sailing, we suggest around €15 per week for each crew member and €5 per day for your Roam Sailing guide, although tipping is completely at your discretion.
What is the best time of year for a Croatia sailing tour?
May and June generally offer warm weather with fewer peak-season crowds, while July and August bring the height of summer and a livelier atmosphere. September can offer warm conditions with fewer crowds than the peak summer months.
Which islands should I visit on a Croatia sailing tour?
Hvar, Korčula and Mljet are among the highlights of the Roam Sailing itinerary. Each offers something different, from Hvar’s lively atmosphere and beautiful coastline to Korčula’s historic charm and Mljet’s natural beauty.
Does the Roam Sailing tour leave from Split?
Our tours start and finish at Trogir Port, 10 minutes from Split Airport and about 25 minutes from Split city, while Split's port is under construction during 2026 and 2027. Everything else is the same: fly into Split, and we'll send you exact meeting details before departure.
